Haemorrhoids is a very common ailment that can affect anyone at any age. It causes swelling and inflammation of veins in the rectum and anus. This not only causes discomfort, pain or bleeding in the anal area but also causes problems like being overweight, persistent diarrhea, etc. This is similar to varicose veins in the legs, and piles in the lower hip area.
Symptoms For Haemorrhoids
Initial symptoms would be discomfort and pain during bowel movements, constipation or gastric problems. If a patient has any symptoms, he/she can meet a doctor and get diagnosed to be treated accordingly.
Simple lifestyle changes, home remedies, and if needed mild medications can cure this disease without any surgical intervention.
Constipation is a problem caused due to difficulty of passing motion. There is a huge difference between modern medicine and ayurvedic medicine. In modern medicine, they treat based on the symptoms shown, and in case of any infections – they try to treat it through surgeries. In Ayurveda, the underlying cause of the disease will be analysed and treated. Ayurveda is an ancient system of medicine and is focused on following the traditional practices that are highly effective compared to modern science.
A small tear in the anus that is caused by hard or large stools is called an anal fissure. This can cause pain and bleeding during bowel movements.
To heal and solve such problems, you can have arshkalp. A daily dosage of 1 tablespoon mixed in hot water can be taken before going to bed. Apart from this, add lots of vegetables and fruits to the diet. Avoid green chili and try replacing it with pepper. Intake of 3 litres of water daily is a must. Take skimmed buttermilk daily of 1/2 litre.
This is usually caused due to an injury or surgery or an infection that leads to inflammation. Kshara sutra therapy is used to treat anal fistula which is a minimal invasive surgical procedure.
The kshara sutra is inserted in the fistula with the help of a probe and both ends of the kshara sutra are tied together. The kshara Sutra is replaced by a new one after a week’s interval. The kshara sutra gradually cuts and heals the track of Fistula.
