Liver is the largest organ in our body and it plays an important role in helping the food get digested. Not just that, once the food is digested, it stores energy, and removes toxins.

Almost 30 percent of the world population suffers from liver diseases globally. India has a lesser number of liver patients (mainly infectious liver disease) compared to other countries because of the food habits which includes spices, turmeric and many greens. We often don’t appreciate the cultural practices of our country that actually protect us from most diseases by building up our immunity.

People who consume alcohol, smoke, or have adulterated food are more prone to liver diseases. Liver problems could also occur due to the side effects of some medicines that you consume if you get treated for paralysis, certain digestive problems or even certain vaccinations.

Fatty liver disease is a condition in which fat builds up on the liver. It can either be a Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease or an Alcoholic fatty liver disease. One of the most deadly liver diseases – Cirrhosis is said to have no cure in any advanced treatments other than surgery, even after which it doesn’t guarantee a life span of more than 2 years. This disease often affects the people who have Non-alcoholic fatty liver condition. However, Ayurveda has a cure for this deadly disease by bringing in correct lifestyle, diet management and liver cleansing.
